How It All Started

Over our last 25+ years of meeting with hundreds of consumer brands, B2B service providers, government agencies, non-profits, and business leaders they all have one thing in common.  They are all searching for answers to make more informed, data-driven, business decisions.  

Most recently, as we've been working in emerging markets, we've seen a pronounced lack of information necessary for decision makers to determine whether or not to invest in an emerging industry, how to prioritize opportunities, how to develop a go-to-market plan, and critically how to make those investments profitable.

The challenge for emerging market decision-makers is three-fold.  First, as an emerging industry there is naturally a general lack of information necessary to answer many fundamental questions.  Second, as emerging industries are inherently new and rapidly evolving, decision-makers aren't sure what questions they should be asking.  Lastly, the teams tasked with moving emerging industries forward are often siloed from the rest of their organization undermining their ability to effectively evaluate and pursue them.  FarSight Research & Advisory was created to address all three of these challenges.

Our initial focus is on sustainability and the connected products emerging industry.  Why?  It's an underserved industry that is rapidly growing and offers a multitude of ways for brands to better serve customers.  Additionally, the connected products technology and data are the best way to respond to expanding sustainability legislation (ex. EU's ESPR/DPP) because they open the door to new revenue generating business models for organizations.  Sounds like a time to focus  on growth opportunities!

We are researchers, analysts, and EU/EEA and US industry experts who have a thirst for knowledge and believe the emerging industries we focus on are ripe for massive growth and innovation.
